Teens injured in home invasion

A bloody and beaten teenager was left at Port Royal Fire Station on Saturday after being assaulted at a Sandys home.

The Police say the 16-year-old from Sandys was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with multiple cuts to his body. A second 16-year-old from Pembroke was also brought to hospital, suffering swelling to his right eye after the same fight.

A spokesman said: "At around 1.37 am, Police recieved a report that a 16-year-old male was dropped off at the Fire Station with multiple lacerations. Details remain sketchy, but it appears that a group of individuals came to a residence on Tankard Lane and attacked two males."

The first teen remained in Hospital last night in the General Ward, while the second was treated and released.

Police are appealing for witnesses to step forward and contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit at 234-1010 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline at 800-8477.
