Under-13s end on a high
Bermuda finished their St.Kitts and Nevis Regional Cricket Competition on a high with a victory over Antigua and Barbuda.
The Islanders won their final match by three wickets at Concaree Cricket Ground on Wednesday to finish the 25-over competition with three wins and three defeats.
Antigua/Barbuda won the toss and elected to bat but none of their batsmen reached double figures as they set Bermuda a target of 73 runs to win. In reply the Islanders rattled off the required runs with three wickets to spare.
Christion Gibbons-Wade, Cejoy Outerbridge and Janhoi Bean took two wickets apiece, while Bean and Perozzi both scored 12 runs. In their previous match on Tuesday, Bermuda went down by three runs against Dominica at the Edgar Gilbert Field in Molyneaux.
Bermuda won the toss and elected to field with their opponents setting them a total of 148. Khalif Williams and Charles Marshall both took two wickets.
Bermuda agonisingly fell eight runs short with Joshua Commissiong scoring 27 and Marshall chipping in with 21.
During the tournament Bermuda also posted wins against Nevis and Anguilla but were beaten by Barbados and hosts St.Kitts.
