Air arrivals fall

GlobalHue will no longer be the Department of Tourism's advertising agency, Minister Patrice Minors announced today.She revealed at a press conference that the agency did not bid to extend their contract, which ends April 1.The Minister declined to reveal any information about the new advertising agency.Meanwhile, she said that overall visitor arrivals were up 4.7 percent last year cruise ship passengers accounted for the majority of the 585,266 visitors that travelled to the Island.However air arrivals continued their decline with 1.5 percent less people flying to the Island than in 2009.In total 232,262 flew to the Island last year.
