Official naming of Rosewood Tucker's Point

Bermuda has today welcomed "a new era of tourism" with the official naming of Rosewood Tucker's Point.Hotel president Ed Trippe welcomed dignitaries to the 88 room luxury resort to formally announce its partnership with Rosewood Hotels and Resorts.He declared it a "very exciting day" which would move both the hotel and the Island "into a new era."Tourism Mininster Patrice Minors congratulated Rosewood for its new relationship with Tucker's Point and Bermuda.She said: "Today marks the dawn of a new day. I am thrilled to re-christen this beautiful resort. It's a shining example of new hope."Alex Alt, Rosewood's senior vice president, global development and strategic planning, said it was the beginning of a journey as their work was "only just beginning."He said: "We are excited to elevate the stature of this property and Bermuda. It's a new chapter."Rosewood is a family of people and world class properties."Mr Alt said the Rosewood team would now focus on "the three T's" of transition, training and tourism.
