Access road to KEMH from Point Finger Road closes Monday
The main driveway to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital will close next week as construction on the new hospital continues.The Bermuda Hospitals Board (BHB) said that while the main driveway from Point Finger Road will close on Monday, May 2, the Berry Hill entrance will remain open.Pedestrians will still be able to access the hospital through Point Finger Road via a new sidewalk that comes through the round trellised garden in the Botanical Gardens, opposite the hospital’s main lobby.A BHB spokeswoman said: “Paget Health Services (PHS), BHB’s private partner, is in the process of building a new access road to KEMH from Point Finger Road, which is expected to open in several weeks.“PHS apologises for the inconvenience, and will restore an entrance driveway from Point Finger Road as soon as possible.”
