BCB hit back over claims Chief Exec could go

Bermuda Cricket Board has hit back at an article in The Royal Gazette questioning the future of chief executive Neil Speight. In the story (BCB debate pair's future) it was suggested that elements within the BCB had questioned if Speight was the right man to take the Board forward after the national team's relegation to Division Three of the World Cricket League. The BCB put out a statement this morning in which president Reggie Pearman said: "The article makes a number of insinuations and claims regarding BCB matters that are patently untrue and very disappointing. Having to read this mischievous and irresponsible nonsense is very frustrating."…. reports of supposedly secret meetings and to have claims made that the key employee positions of Chief Executive and National Coach are under threat is overwhelmingly frustrating as it is all complete rubbish."For The Gazette's original story go to: www.royalgazette.com/article/20110427/SPORT02/704279930The BCB's full statement can be seen on their website: www.bermudacricketboard.com
