Irate local viewers were left out in the cold over the weekend, when a much-anticipated concert by Lady Gaga was blocked from Bermuda’s screens.HBO held the rights to air the singer’s solo concert at Madison Square Garden, which Bermudians expected to see on Bermuda CableVision channels 300 and 301. However: “No Gaga,” said Marc-Anthony Thomas, who reported a blank screen on Saturday and Sunday night.A CableVision spokesman responded: “It’s actually HBO that blocked out the performance, not CableVision. HBO didn’t have the international rights to broadcast it, and they blanked out the feed coming to Bermuda.”CableVision apologised to viewers but said the broadcaster’s decision was beyond their control.
