Police probe woman’s death

A Virginia woman was killed this weekend from injuries suffered in a golf cart accident at the Rosewood Tuckers Point Club.According to police, 73-year-old Jean Stanley died in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on Sunday after she fell from a golf cart the previous day.A police spokesman said yesterday that officers responded to a reported accident at around 4.26pm on Saturday.“It appears that Ms Stanley was travelling as a passenger in a golf cart when she fell from the golf cart, sustaining head injuries,” the spokesman said.Tuckers Point Staff responded to the incident along with police and an ambulance. Ms Stanley was rushed to the hospital, but succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.Brian Young, Managing Director of Tuckers Point said: “Our hearts go out to the family of the deceased and we will continue to do everything we can to support them through this terrible time.”Police said the incident was the third road fatality this year, and it is currently under investigation.Useful websites: www.bps.bm, www.tuckerspoint.com.
