Two scholarships on offer to Bermudians to study media arts in India
Scholarships to study at Asia’s largest institute for media arts will be available for Bermudian students, through the National Training Board (NTB).The NTB announced that the Whistling Woods International Scholarship will be available for two students, thanks to an agreement made last year between Government and the Whistling Woods International Ltd Institute for Film, Animation and Media Arts.The campus is based in Mumbai’s Film and Television Production centre Filmcity, offering courses in acting, animation, cinematography, direction editing, producing and screenwriting.Students can commence studies in the July 2011 semester, with the scholarship covering tuition and boarding for two years.Applications are available at the NTB’s website, and must be completed with all relevant documents by June 10.Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Kim Wilson said: “This is an excellent opportunity for two Bermudian students to study at one of the premier international film institutes and allowing them a once in a lifetime chance to network with other students from around the world.”Useful websites: www.ntb.bm, www.whistlingwoods.net.
