American Airlines’ passengers might want to pack light, as the cost to check extra bags, overweight bags and oversized bags has increased.Bags weighing between 50.1lbs and 70lbs will now cost $100; bags between 70.1lbs and 100lbs will cost $200.The cost represents an increase from $60 and $100 respectively. Oversized bags will cost a third more to check in, with the cost rising from $150 to $200.Excess bags, which had cost $100 to check in, now cost $150.The changes will affect all flights within the US as well as those to and from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin/South America.
