Michael Sims hit a closing one-under par 71 to finish in a tie for 29 at the Mexico Open.Sims, who at one stage was leading the event, had three bogeys and four birdies in his final round at El Bosque Golf Club.The Bermuda professional finished with a seven-under par total of 281, ten shots adrift of eventual leader Erik Compton, who finished with an impressive seven-under par 65 yesterday.
