Arrest after police find gun

A 22-year-old man has been arrested after police found a gun at a house in Pembroke.The incident happened on Friday, but details were released this afternoon.A Police spokesman said: “The Bermuda Police Service can now report that officers seized a firearm during a search at a private residence in the Friswell’s Hill area of Pembroke on Friday afternoon, June 24.“A 22-year-old Pembroke man was arrested in connection with the firearm which is a hand gun. No further information can be released at this time while police continue their enquiries, starting with a forensic examination of the firearm to establish whether it is linked to any previous crimes.“Anyone with information relating to this incident or any firearm in Bermuda is encouraged to call the Serious Crime Unit (SCU) on 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”
