A switch malfunction has caused the old road leading into St David's to be off-limits to motorists.Drivers are now being re-routed through Southside Road, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Public Works said."A malfunction in a switch at the asphalt plant has resulted in workmen being unable to complete road work on the old road leading into St David’s as expected."As a result, this stretch of road is off-limits to vehicular traffic and will be closed throughout the weekend. Motorists entering St. David’s are being re-routed through Southside Road."The Ministry apologised for the inconvenience.The problem is expected to be fixed over the weekend.
