Dockyard history features on new series of stamps
Historic scenes of Dockyard are featured on Bermuda’s newest series of stamps.The series was unveiled by Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Kim Wilson, at a ceremony in Commissioner’s House one of the iconic Dockyard buildings depicted on the stamps.Sen Wilson thanked the Stamp Design Advisory Committee, Education Minister Jennifer Smith, National Museum of Bermuda director Edward Harris, the Philatelic Bureau, and the Bermuda Archives for providing images, as well as the Department of Communication and Information designers.“Past and our present seem to embrace each other in this beautiful place that is the Royal Naval Dockyard,” Sen Wilson said. “May we continue to preserve our historical legacy for our generations to come.”Useful website: www.bpo.bm
