Inflation static for two consecutive months

Inflation stayed static for two months running, according to a report released today.The Consumer Price Index showed prices rose by 2.8 percent in Julyl - the same level as June.However the health and personal care sector was again the largest contributor to the rate of inflation - on average, the cost of health and personal care items increased by 7.5 percent year-over-year.The report says the household goods, services and communications and the fuel and power sectors also impacted strongly on the annual rate of inflation, as price shifts in these sectors were 2.9 percent and 13.0 percent, respectively.
