Clay Smith to take a break from coaching
Clay Smith has resigned his position as U13 National Academy Coach and will take a sabbatical from coaching, the Bermuda Cricket Board announced this afternoon.National Coach David Moore said: "Clay Smith has notified me that he is taking a sabbatical from cricket coaching for the foreseeable future. From my position as National Coach I would like to thank Clay for his commitment and dedication to our BCB National Academy U13 squad, his coaching of teams in our Elite Player League and his support when asked with the National squad.“His impact with our young squad members has been immeasurable. I know that when Clay commits himself to the task of coaching our young cricketers he gives it his all and the programs are well planned and executed. He will be missed by young players and coaches alike.“I wish him well with his endeavours with his family and hope to see him back at the grass roots of cricket when he and his family see fit. Clay has provided valuable assistance and will certainly be missed. We hope he will be ready to resume coaching in the near future and we him and his family all the best."
