Men charged with conspiring to kill
Two men were charged this morning with conspiring to fatally shoot Rodney Grimes near the Clayhouse Inn in Devonshire.Mr Grimes, 24, was shot near the Gravity nightclub at around 3am on Saturday, October 8.A bullet reportedly grazed his ear and temple.Pelealkhai Williams, 22, and Jonathan Steven Dill, 28, were both charged in Magistrates’ Court with conspiring to kill Mr Grimes and conspiring to use a firearm to commit an indictable offence in connection to the incident.Mr Williams alone has been charged with possessing a firearm.Neither man was required to enter a plea as the charges are indictable only and must be heard by the Supreme Court.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered both men be remanded in custody until Oct 27, when the matter will be mentioned in Magistrates’ Court.
