A food processing facility and green house has been proposed for Industrial Park Road, Southampton, along with a series of solar panels to keep it operating.The plans, designed by Horizon Architecture for E&L Industries, include a single building made up of storage containers, and nine solar arrays capable of producing 15.5kw of electricity.That electricity would be used to power the site’s watering and nutrient distribution system for produce grown, processed and packaged on site, “intended to be a ‘state-of-the-art’ facility revolutionising the way we feed our Country”.
