Two hurt in three-vehicle crash

Two motorists were taken to hospital after a crash involving three vehicles yesterday.A 34-year-old car driver, and a 60-year-old truck driver, both from Pembroke, received non life-threatening injuries in the accident on North Shore Road, Pembroke, near West Pembroke School, at 7.30am.The driver of a second car, a 54-year-old Pembroke woman, was not injured.Police say all three vehicles were damaged in the incident and are appealing for witnesses to contact PC David McHugh on 295-0011.Meanwhile, officers arrested four people on suspicion of impaired driving over the weekend. Nine people were arrested for outstanding warrants and 17 liquor licence checks were made at licensed premises throughout the Island.
