American in critical condition after road crash
A 27-year-old American contract worker was this morning in a critical condition in intensive care after a crash in Devonshire.A Police spokesman said: “Around 12.25am on Sunday, police responded to a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision on South Road, in Devonshire, near the junction with Devon Heights Road. It appears that a rental cycle was traveling along South Road when it collided with a wall and a utility pole. The rental cycle was extensively damaged as a result.“The rider sustained serious head injuries and was treated by EMTs at the scene before being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further medical care. At last check the victim, a contract worker, was listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.“Traffic was diverted away from the area while collision investigators examined the scene.
