Developer Gilbert Lopes has been given planning permission to build two horse stables on a Chapel Road property.According to plans, the stables would be located to the north of the Paget residence, and would only be visible from the north as the roof of the building will be landscaped into a yard.A section of the application reads: “A new grade will be placed on top and raised for use as a grassed side yard and extension of the covered porch associated with the detached house.”The stables will include storage areas and a manure room, but will not include a paddock as the stables will be for domestic use only.Mr Lopes said yesterday: “It’s just two little stables for a couple of ponies in the yard.“The house has been there for a while. I’m in the process of trying to finish it and thought I would put in this application. It’s not for anything immediate.”
