Plans to change a Sandys residence into a seniors’ rest home have been approved by the Development Applications Board.Shirlene Boyles has proposed to turn the three-bedroom home at 12 Hook ‘N Ladder Lane into Tranquility Rest Home and Senior Day Care Centre.According to her application, the home will initially house two seniors however as many as ten seniors could attend the home for day care.“There will be exercise, walks, crafts and games,” Ms Boyles wrote in her application.There will also be one full-time nurse and one on-call nurse on staff, with another four nurses aides.If successful, Ms Boyles intends to apply for permission to have four seniors residing on the premises.
