New Government Senators unveiled
Businessmen Vincent Ingham and Diallo Rabain have been sworn in at Government House as new Junior Ministers.Sir Richard Gozney formerly announced the two men as Senators and Junior Ministers this afternoon.Senator Ingham, who is president and CEO of the Ascendant Group, which was formerly BELCO, is Junior Minister of Business Development and Tourism, Health and Public Works. He also currently serves as deputy chairman on the Board of Education and Board of Tourism.Senator Rabain, who worked at Works and Engineering before becoming a founding partner of CompuCAD Training and Service Ltd, is Junior Minister of Education and Youth, Families and Sport. He has served on numerous Government boards including the Road Safety Council and the National Training Board.The two new Junior Ministers replace LaVerne Furbert and Cromwell Shakir in the Senate.Premier Paula Cox said it gave her “tremendous pleasure and pride” to welcome the two Senators to help move Bermuda forward.
