Miss Bermuda Jana Outerbridge is loving her once-in-a-lifetime London jaunt, but with the Miss World Pageant looming tomorrow there is little time to spare.“Everything’s hectic over here,” said father Gregory Outerbridge, who arrived in the UK yesterday with his wife Glenda.“She’s in rehearsals right now. It’s too busy to talk.”The family is staying at the Earl’s Court locale of the show.This week’s round of activities included Beauty with a Purpose, a charity dinner in which contestants auctioned off items from their native lands.The event raised $160,000 to aid medical research.Miss Bermuda Pageant director Milika Seymour, who has staked everything on restoring the pageant as an annual event, wished Ms Outerbridge well and had warm words for the local fundraisers who helped send Miss Bermuda to London.“I want to say that I’m truly grateful for those who went out of their way to support Jana. A special thanks to the Bermuda Department of Tourism, AS Coopers and the community at large,” she said.“This support is one the many reasons Jana has performed well and I believe she will continue to do so in the future.”The show will be broadcast from 1pm tomorrow on CableVision channel 55.It will also be webcast live through the pageant site, www.missworld.com.Good luck messagesTomorrow Jana Outerbridge takes on the world when she goes on stage for the Miss World title.
