A fire drill led to an accident at a Government building yesterday, meaning firemen were needed after all.The alarms sounded at Global House, on Church Street, around 11.30am as part of a preplanned drill. Staff evacuated the building and congregated outside. One female staff member suffered what a Government spokesman described as “minor injuries” during the exercise.“Out of an abundance of caution, emergency personnel came onto the scene,” explained the spokesman.Medics from the fire service treated the woman as she sat on a wall outside, but she was “fine” in the end, according to the spokesman.
