Police are investigating reported gunshots near Western Stars Football Club.No-one was injured in the shooting, which took place around 8.45pm yesterday.Officers from the Serious Crime Unit are now investigating the incident and are interested in speaking with anyone with information.Said a Police spokesman: "No-one was injured in the incident, however it is believed a firearm was discharged from Bakery Lane into the grounds of Western Stars Club by a gunman on a motorcycle. The gunman then entered St John’s Road and travelled West on that road."Detectives are now examining whether two men arrested on suspicion of stealing a motorcycle may have been involved.Persons with information should call 247-1219 or the Crime Stoppers hotline, 800-8477.
