Slight rise in inflation

Inflation rose by almost three percent in October, the Consumer Price Index released today shows.The CPI measured inflation at 2.9 percent a rise over 2.6 percent measured in September.According to the report, the Health and Personal Care sector was the largest contributor to the 12-month increase in the Consumer Price Index. The average cost of Health and Personal Care goods and services increased by 7.1 percent year over year.The Fuel and Power sector also impacted strongly on the annual rate of inflation, increasing 13.3 percent.
