Crash riders injuredA senior citizen is in a stable condition after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a sidewalk on Mangrove Bay Road in Sandys.The accident happened around 5pm on Monday. Police and first responders attended the scene and the 66-year-old man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.In another incident on Monday night, an 18-year-old Hamilton Parish man had to be taken to the hospital following a collision between the motorcycle he was riding and a car driven by an 83 year old man.Both vehicles were extensively damaged. The driver of the car was not injured.Police investigate assaultPolice are investigating an assault which took place around midnight on Sunday in the Angle Street and Brunswick Street area in Pembroke.The victim, a 37-year-old Sandys man, was apparently assaulted by another man with a bladed article, according to police.The man’s attacker has been described as a short, black male of medium build, wearing a tan or grey coloured hooded top and dark coloured pants.The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment and at last check was in stable condition on a general ward.Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
