Two American Airlines flights arrived in Bermuda this morning from New York and Miami, after crosswinds and thunderstorms forced cancellations last night.A spokesman at the Bermuda Weather Service confirmed that wind gusts of up to 35 knots last night moved southwesterly, making for stronger crosswinds. The gusts were directly linked to a cold front that passed from the US eastern seaboard to the local area.A trough behind that system caused thunderstorms and lightning across the Island last night.A spokesman at LF Wade International Airport confirmed that both American Airlines flights are due in from New York and Miami on schedule this evening.
