Southampton boy injured by motorcyclist while walking on Middle Road
A 13-year-old boy was hurt in a collision with a motorcycle at 3.45pm on Monday.He was a pedestrian on Middle Road in Southampton when the incident occurred near the junction with Heron View Lane, at 3.45pm.“The pedestrian, a 13-year-old Southampton boy received a leg injury and was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital [KEMH] via ambulance for treatment.His injuries are not believed to be life threatening,” said a police spokeswoman. “The rider, a 22-year-old Southampton woman, was not injured.”A hospital spokeswoman said the teenager had been released from hospital by yesterday afternoon.Earlier on Monday, a motorcyclist was injured in a single vehicle collision on Middle Road, Warwick.The police spokeswoman said of the 12.30am incident: “It appears that a motorcycle was travelling along Middle Road near the junction with Longford Road when it collided with an embankment.“The rider, a 48-year-old Southampton man was injured and conveyed to KEMH via ambulance where he was treated and later released.”
