Final seniors community discussion will be held tomorrow
East end seniors are invited to speak with politicians about their concerns this Saturday at the last of a series of discussions.Age Concern Bermuda yesterday announced that their third and final seniors community discussion will take place at Pennos Wharf between 10am and noon.Previous meetings were held at Sandys Secondary School and Dellwood Middle School in February and March respectively.Claudette Fleming, Executive Director for Age Concern, said the goal of the discussions is to ensure the candidates running in the next general election are aware of the issues facing seniors on the Island.“We believe that this gives everyone who attends and opportunity to sit with a representative from their area and provide insight, input and solutions form a senior’s perspective,” Mrs Fleming said.While the meeting is for and about seniors, Age Concern said that all members of the community are invited to attend and get involved in the conversation.Useful website: www.ageconcern.bm.
