Ten runners will help promote pregnancy support group in Marathon Derby

Campaigners will be trying to take the stigma out of infertility with an eye-catching fancy dress effort in the May 24 marathon.About ten runners will be dressed as sperm and at least one as an egg to promote Paperwhites, a support group for couples in Bermuda trying to get pregnant. An e-mail from organiser Ross Nottingham states: “The aim is to take the stigma out of infertility (or temporary infertility) so people can talk about it and not feel alone and pretty useless at one of the toughest and loneliest times.“I am not asking for a financial donation, just some time, and the ability to help Paperwhites offer Bermuda families the chance to talk about the elephant in so many rooms.”People wanting to join in can contact the group on paperwhites.bermuda@gmail.com.Sessions take place on the first Tuesday of every month at Spirit House, 65 Middle Road, Devonshire.Useful website: www.paperwhitesbermuda.com
