Pembroke house fire under investigation

Firefighters rushed to a Pembroke home after a fire broke out early Sunday morning.No one was injured in the fire, which occurred at a two-storey Border Lane West residence around 2.40am.Three vehicles and nine personnel were dispatched to the property which they found “well involved in fire”.Bermuda Fire Service spokeswoman Wenda Roberts said: “Two men on the first arriving appliance in breathing apparatus quickly bought the fire, which was confined to a bedroom on the upper floor, under control.“Thankfully no one was injured. No one was home at the time of the incident.”Arson has not been ruled out; an investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway.
