American Chris Fertig has today set a new speed boat record, travelling from New York to Bermuda in 21 hours and 39 minutes.He now holds the world record for the Bermuda Challenge, having left New York Harbor for the Island yesterday, aboard his Statement Marine 37.The previous record was held by Bermuda's Neil Burnie.
