Former US county official died during Island vacation

A US visitor died of a heart attack while on a golfing trip to the Island.Former county official Marty Gangemi was holidaying with his wife Alice and two other couples at a private residence in Bermuda, his son Tony Gangemi said.“It was their first time on the Island and they got wonderful hospitality there from everybody,” said Mr Gangemi.Mr Gangemi had served as County Commissioner in Greensboro, Maryland, and was running for a seat on the Caroline County Board of Education. He died of a heart attack on October 16.The County government ordered flags flown at half mast, and a funeral service is to be held on Saturday at North Caroline High School auditorium.
