Mail travelling from the US to Bermuda has been delayed as a result of the impact of Hurricane Sandy.A Government spokeswoman said yesterday: “As the public is aware, Sandy’s recent destruction along the US northeast coast disrupted numerous services, including flights out of New York and other major US cities.“The Post Office anticipates that normal delivery of overseas mail will resume once airline schedules out of New York and other East Coast cities have returned to normal and the back log of mail has been cleared.“The Bermuda Post Office takes this opportunity to apologise to its customers for any inconvenience resulting from the delivery service delay.”
