Gunshots in Smith’sPolice are investigating after gunshots were fired in Smith’s yesterday.No one was reported as injured in the incident, said to have taken place around 12.50am on Club Road.“The scene was secured and an active investigation has commenced into this confirmed firearm incident,” a police spokesman said.Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 295-0011 or call the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.Car and bike collidePolice and first responders attended a reported collision on Sunday evening at the junction of Middle Road and Tee Street in Devonshire involving a car and an auxiliary cycle.The car was being driven along Middle Road, while the auxiliary cycle was being ridden along Tee Street when the vehicles collided at the junction around 7.30pm.The auxiliary cycle rider, a 17 year old St. George’s woman, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment to her injuries.Both vehicles were damaged as a result of the collision. There were no other injuries reported.Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.Car hits wallPolice officers responded to a report of a single vehicle damage only collision in the area of Burnt House Hill and Middle Road in Warwick on Sunday.A car was being driven along Burnt House Hill when it collided with a wall around 3.50am.The vehicle received extensive frontal damage; however there were no reported injuries.Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.14 weekend arrestsPolice officers arrested 12 people for outstanding warrants over the weekend, while arresting two people on suspicion of impaired driving.They also conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the Island.
