The vandalised Belmont Wharf ferry stop got a new coat of paint courtesy of Public Works, Government advised, ending the mystery of who had cleaned up the mess. The stop got heavily daubed in graffiti at the start of the month — but was quickly spotted and reported. One Bermuda Alliance candidate for the Warwick North East Mark Pettingill said he’d also responded, after the defaced stop was pictured in The Royal Gazette on December 7.“Someone had put a coat on it when I arrived, and I put a second on it as it was coming through,” the OBA MP added.
