To lose a young son in such a tragic situation on Christmas day is unfathomable. Everyone in Bermuda must do their part to end the deaths on our roads that occur all to frequently."He continued: "The statistics are frightening. We have had nine road traffic deaths on our roads this year, and almost every one was a young male on a motorbike. And most of these deaths were preventable. We must all slow down and take personal responsibility for our actions on the roads. At this festive time of year we should heed the message from the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Abuse (CADA) to ABCD - Always Bus, Cab or Designated Driver. We simply cannot afford to have another death and grieving family."An investigation into the collision is underway. Witnesses are asked to contact PC 969 Hassell of the Roads Policing Office on 295-0011 or 247-1200.A Police spokesman said: "The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Mr Weeks."
