A slate of new Senators were formally sworn in yesterday with six new faces seated around the round table.Joining the ranks of the Government team in the Upper House were Education Minister Nalton Brangman, Senators Lynne Woolridge, Alexis Swan and Jeffrey Baron.Sen Marc Daniels and Renee Ming joined Opposition Leader in the Upper House, as well as Sen Diallo Rabain.The brief ceremony was followed after the Throne Speech with brief statements by both Sen Rabain and Government Leader in the Upper House, Sen Michael Fahy, the Minister of Home Affairs.Senator Carol Ann Bassett was reinstated as Senate President, with Vice President Sen Joan Dillas-Wright and Independent Sen James Jardine.The Senate adjourned shortly after the Throne Speech until February 20.
