Tucker’s Point outsources landscaping jobs

Unionised landscaping staff employed at Tucker’s Point were informed this week that their work will be outsourced to a private company.Bermuda Industrial Union President Chris Furbert confirmed that four employees will be affected.“The hotel is outsourcing landscaping jobs, one employee will be put with the company the hotel has outsourced the work to, another will be transferred to a job within the hotel,” said Mr Furbert.“The two workers affected have not been made redundant yet and talks are underway between BIU and management at Tucker’s Point.“The employees and unionised staff were informed on Tuesday.”Efforts to reach a spokesperson for the resort were unsuccessful by press time.
