The City of Hamilton issued traffic advisories for motorists on road closures this weekend.Between 7am and 7pm on Sunday, the junction of Church and King Streets in Hamilton will be closed for resurfacing work.A spokeswoman said: “Church Street will be closed at Court Street and King Street will be closed at Victoria Street. The King Street car parking lot will not be available during this time.“From 7pm on Monday, paving will take place at the intersection of King and Church Streets. Church Street from Court Street and King Street from Victoria Street will be closed“There will be traffic access for businesses and residences in the area.”Work will continue on Tuesday, starting at 10am and ending at 4pm, in addition to Wednesday and Thursday.Motorists are advised that the paving work will begin at 7.30am and end on 4pm with traffic restricted to one lane at all times.The work is expected to be completed by Thursday, February 21, weather permitting.The spokeswoman urged motorists to use extreme caution throughout the week, as the road surface will be “rough as work takes place”.“The City of Hamilton apologises for any inconvenience these necessary road closures may cause,” she said.
