Bermuda’s Risk Prediction Initiative has been joined by veteran weatherman and former director of the Bermuda Weather Service Mark Guishard.Dr Guishard is the new science programme manager for the initiative, dubbed RP12.0, which is based at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS).RP12.0 fosters dialogue between scientists and the insurance and reinsurance community where catastrophic risk is concerned.After stepping down from BWS last year, Dr Guishard worked in catastrophe risk analysis and modelling for a local reinsurer.
