CADA launches alcohol awareness competition
CADA is hoping young people will put their creativity to work on videos encouraging responsible alcohol behaviour. The advocacy group has invited people between the ages of nine and 18 to submit 50-second entries showcasing the harmful effect alcohol can have on them and their peers. The competition will take place as CADA observes April as Alcohol Awareness Month.Said CADA chairman Anthony Santucci: One of the objectives of this year’s Alcohol Awareness Month is to encourage open dialogue between adults and young people about not drinking alcohol until at least age 18 and about responsible drinking after age 18. To this end, I am pleased to announce our second annual Alcohol Awareness Month video competition.“We feel that children and teens working together to create a video about the harmful effects alcohol has on young people and why drinking before the age of 18 is so dangerous is a great way to get the message out.”The deadline for entry is April 12. Winners will be announced on April 26. For more information visit cada.bm.
