A ‘how to’ on fighting crime

West End residents have an opportunity to learn about the latest community crime-fighting initiatives at a public meeting this week.The Bermuda Police Service Western Community Action Team will be hosting a ‘how to’ community meeting for Sandys parish residents on Thursday at 7.30pm.Area MPs will also be in attendance at the meeting, which will be held at St James’ Anglican Church hall on Somerset Road.The Western Community Action Team will advise residents on how to set up a Neighbourhood Watch, establish a Community Action Group and how to better secure their homes.A police spokesman said that additional ‘how to’ community meetings are expected to be held in various parishes in the near future.
