New police recruits in training

Fifteen new police recruits are now taking their 16-week foundation course as part of a bid to boost the force.Public Safety Minister Michael Dunkley told the House of Assembly the range of ages reflected “an interesting combination of youth and experience”.Funding has been allocated for a total of 20 new officers.Mr Dunkley also thanked MPs Kenneth Bascome and Nandi Davis for their advocacy on reopening the St George’s Police Station.The facility went back into service this week after more than six years of refurbishments.
