A four-year-old girl reported as nearly drowning in a pool on Saturday in Flatts is “now resting comfortably” at the King Edward VII Memorial children’s ward, police said. The 1.38pm incident at an unidentified guest property saw a man watching his two daughters “turn away for a short moment” from the other child, who was unresponsive in the water when he turned back. The man immediately pulled his daughter out and began CPR. She was revived at the scene, a police spokesman said, but subsequently taken to KEMH by ambulance.
