Rush hour delays as buses collide at terminal
Commuters were hit with delays during last night’s rush hour after two buses collided at Hamilton’s bus terminal. The accident took place when the 5.10pm Express service to St George’s, which was packed with passengers, came into contact with another bus as it was reversing out of its parking bay.It is understood that at least one of the two vehicles involved in the smash was damaged by the impact, although there were no reported injuries.Fuming passengers remained on-board the stricken vehicle for almost half-an-hour, only to then be told by public transport officials that their bus had been put out of commission — and they would have to find another vehicle to continue their journey to the East End.Police were called to the scene, although a spokesman was unable to issue a statement on the accident by press time last night.
