New hours for public drop off will be starting at Tynes Bay as a “cost saving measure,” a Government spokesperson said.Starting September 1, the facility will be open on weekdays from 9am to 6pm, on Saturdays from 7am to 7pm and on Sundays from 1pm to 6pm. It will be closed on Christmas Day and open from 9am to 12pm on all other public holidays.Previously, Tynes Bay was open for public drop off every day from 7am to 7pm.“The Ministry would like to thank the public for their cooperation and support,” the spokesperson said.
