A Devonshire man in Magistrates’ Court today denied sexually assaulting a minor.

The man is accused of trying to force a young girl to perform oral sex on him sometime between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2012.

Crown counsel Takiyah Burgess said the girl, who was nine or ten at the time, told a schoolteacher and the matter was reported to police.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner set bail at $10,000 with one surety and ordered the man to reappear for trial on January 16.
